Culture change of 1000+ people requires buy-in from the leaders but co-creation with all employees. This RVP took time to send this recording to her staff in preparation for their culture change process.
RVP, Ops Lisa: “Hi, I’m Lisa Meyer and I’m the Regional Vice President for the skilled rehab services division for RehabCare. I’ve been working with Judy Ryan and LifeWork Systems for several years now. I want to have this program be something that you can find useful and not just another educational topic that you have to check off as part of your annual compliance training or different things related to your clinical requirements. We really want you to be able to experience different strategies and skills to deal with some of the things that come up just in the everyday life of working with patients, working with communities, working with families, and really just to be able to to have that fun therapy department. It’s really going to take a whole team commitment and that team is not just the leaders in terms of managers and program directors, but it really is all of our therapy staff and rehab techs. So now I’m committing to bringing these skills to all of our team members. We need to spend some time investing in ourselves because if you don’t take care of yourself first you’re not going to really be as adequate as a caregiver as you need to be.”
