When everyone participates in culture change, each person has a common set of concepts, terms, tools and processes for great cohesion and teamwork. They all have a framework for how to function in a healthy culture.
Supervisor Dave: I think with my colleagues – with them all understanding this, we can have conversations that were productive and that would have meaning to them at a different level than before when we didn’t have this common framework, because we were all coming from different directions. This framework made a commonality there. Same thing happened with my supervisor. He was a proponent of it. He realized the nuances of it had to be worked through, and it was not something that’s necessarily easy but it has value. As I spoke to him about individuals on my team or their colleagues that I interacted with, this became a framework also, to talk about it. So it was very helpful.
