Innovative, Award-Winning Culture Change

Hi I’m Meg Monti with the St. Louis Mental Health Board. I’m Deputy Director. The Vanguard Award for exceptional service is presented by the St. Louis Mental Health Board to organizations who have made amazing accomplishments because of the way that they are using innovation or applying methodology in unconventional or creative ways, and that the application of them has achieved astounding results. Not just somewhat better than what has traditionally occurred, but very exceptional results. Their mission statement really talks to the heart of their work and I don’t know that anybody could see that mission and not be absolutely moved and inspired. They always go inside and find out, “What can we do to get in, over, around, or through, or with, this particular circumstance?” And I personally have never seen an organization that has applied this non-egotistical embracing of, and open to learning and doing whatever it takes so consistently, and so wholeheartedly.
