CIO Erin: I have the story of my two managers that had difficulty communicating. And after we used LifeWorks and realized that they were very different in their thought concepts, we were very quickly able to identify the best ways for them to communicate with each other, and recognize each other’s gifts and strengths. I fee that trustworthiness is an essential foundation to any group. I know that it’s become a foundation here among my teams because I see them working out differences among each other in a respectful manner.

Director Jared: I think before LifeWorks, you know there’s times when you have to have difficult conversations with your co-workers and I think before lLifeWork Systems, it was maybe from my perspective it was more difficult to have those conversations because I would stress about it and I didn’t know how to approach or bring things up. And since I’ve had the the tools and techniques that we’ve learned, it’s really enabled me to have not only a platform, but an effective way to communicate issues. So one of the reasons that you know LifeWorks was was brought into our department was that there’d been a lot of changes and there wasn’t healthiness or our department wasn’t healthy in all of our relationships. And so having LifeWorks has enabled me to to see where the relationships could be better and you know just everybody gets lost in their own space, right? And so giving me an opportunity to step back, look at it, and say what am I doing wrong, what am i doing right, how can I approach situations differently, learning more about the other person. It facilitated areas for us to sit down and it actually kind of, almost forced, and not in a negative way, but forced us to have some conversations that just normally aren’t present in a workplace environment. To find out what ways that your peers or other employees want to be communicated with. So it was very helpful.

Manager Christen: The process improved the relationship with my colleagues in a very, very big way; in a very unexpected way. A peer of mine and I did not get along well, but when we sat down and actually went through the process and got it out, we’ve come out of it as very very strong team members, and this person is probably the person I trust the most as a peer, a huge team member, and we just get each other in ways that we didn’t before. I mean it was beyond anything I could have imagined.
